North BurLINKton PhotoWalk

One of North BurLINKton Community Groups strategic priorities for the next three years is to learn more about our neighbourhoods and the people in them. We are please to present a new initiative that will give you the opportunity to connect with neighbours and explore our neighbourhoods… a photowalk. The first photo walk will take place on Tuesday September 15th from 6 – 8 pm. The walk starts at Brant Hills Library and will make its way through parks, by businesses and residential streets in Brant Hills. Those who participate need to bring a camera – doesn’t have to be a fancy one; it can be on your phone! The walk leader, a member of the North BurLINKton Arts Committee, will guide you along the walk where you will stop as a group to capture spaces and moments and compare how you all saw the situation a little differently through your individual lens. For more information contact or 905-632-1975.

This will not be your average arts and crafts night….no beading or macrame here! Our materials will include chicken wire, duct tape, old t-shirts, tin foil and recycled water bottles. Our goal is to create life size sculptures to be used in community events in North Burlington.

There is no registration. Snacks are provided. The event is free. Teens aged 12-18 are encouraged to come and bring a friend.
