The North BurLINKton Chill Zone is a grassroots neighbourhood based children’s program. During the school year we provide participants access to healthy food, homework help, recreation, fun activities and crafts. During March Break and Summer months we provide children’s programming and drop-in spaces. Staff and volunteers work together to create an understanding and open space for kids to experience a positive sense of community, provide a place to belong, and opportunities to develop new skills and try active and arts activities. ChillZone is geared to children in jk to grade 6.
Tuesdays at Calvary baptist from 3 to 6 pm (snack provided).
Thursdays at Tansley United Church from 3 am to 6 pm (snack provided).
We are pleased to receive funding through the Ministry of Sport Tourism and Recreation and the CIBC Children’s Foundation so that we can provide some great physical activities and healthy snacks! Our partnership with Healthy Kids Community Challenge means that we will be offering cooking sessions as well as developing videos using stop motion animation with the help of our friends at ArtHouse.
With the support of North BurLINKton’s community partners and funders we are able to offer ChillZone at NO COST! We hope you will join us for a year of fun!
