• Dinner Night Out Fundraiser

Did you know that North BurLINKton Dinner Night Out is run by a roster of almost 100 amazing volunteers and welcomes hundreds of dinner guests twice a month for a delicious and nutritious meal. Each time we get together we focus on connecting people with neighbours, providing information about community resources and support. We celebrate holidays and occasionally we sing together! Dinner Night Out is free of charge, ensuring that everyone can have a great great meal and night out in community together.

North BurLINKton Dinner Night Out is teaming up with Dury Lane Theatrical Productions for a fundraiser to help make sure that we can continue to serve up great food and friendship in 2016.

We are selling tickets for Drury Lanes’ pre-show for their 36th Annual Music Hall on Thursday January 28th,  (doors open at 7 pm).

The cost of a ticket is $28. A table of 6 can be sponsored for $168.

You can click here for a description of the show.

We think this will be a great opportunity to spend a night out with friends in community, celebrating local talent and supporting the continuation of Dinner Night Out in 2016.

If you would like to purchase a ticket please contact Dorothy Birkes dbirkes2011@hotmail.com or Shaz Wall swall@cdhalton.ca

Ticket will also be available for purchase at Dinner Night Out at Glad Tidings 1401 Guelph Line between starting at 5:30 pm on January 13th and the 27th.

  • North BurLINkton’s Got Talent!

NB_GotTalent_Nov2015In 2014 a group of North BurLINKton folks were talking about how it would be great to have a talent show that featured some of our Dinner Night Out guests, Chill Zone kids and others for the North Burlington area. A real spot light of our sometimes hidden talents. A chance to shine for others.

Then in August Burlington experienced a flood and the North BurLINKton Community Group decided to turn the talent show idea into a fundraiser to help support our friends and neighbours who were struggling to recover from the flood.

The event was a night to remember. MM Robinson supplied the space and some of its well know talent (Improv Team and the Drum Line) and many other local people stepped up to the mic and shared their talent. It was an extraordinary night in community.

After the buzz form the night had worn off, we asked ourselves, would we ever do that again – it was a lot of work! The answer was easy – YES!

It was decided that we would host the event again this time fundraising to support North BurLINKton Dinner Night Out’s Christmas Dinner. The annual event serves about 330 people turkey dinner with all the trimmings each December.

So, mark your calendars for Thursday November 26th, for North BurLINKton’s Got Talent, the 2015 edition! We will have line up of MM Robinson High School students and a group of local artists ready to entertain us and bringing us together for a night in community – not to be missed!
